The guys finished a garage project for me in record time. Excellent workmanship, communication is key with this company. I appreciate that. Would rate them high for 2 reasons, if your a woman , you should have no fear in hiring them, they listen. And second they stand on their word. They show up and make sure it’s what you want before leaving. This card goes on the fridge 😎

I picked HRS based solely on their Google reviews & I am extremely happy. Michael H came out & quoted my bathroom and was extremely kind and professional. Once the project started, the workers showed up every day until the job was done. We love our new bathroom and will definitely use HRS for projects in the future.

Had a few peeling vinyl siding issues i needed repaired. Mike's team was responsive and repaired all the problem areas. Looks perfect, just like it was when first installed. They matched the color, shaped the replacement parts and installed all of it and then some! They put my yard in order and you'd never know they had been here. The pricing was great. I highly recommend these folks, they will go the extra mile with quality work.

HRS can do anything for your home. They helped me finish my new home when I had to fire my builder. They built the deck. Screen porch and a lot of the carpentry work. Everything thing turned out great.

I had another great experience with HRS! I’ve done a second story conversion, a master bath remodel, and most recently a screened deck addition. I can’t recommend Home Repair Service highly enough, and especially Mike. They stand behind their work and do not cut corners. Mike knows what he is doing and is responsive to changes and adjustments. His team is hard working and comes early in the morning and works all day. This is the only company I plan to use for my major home projects. Thanks again HRS.

We had a new screen porch and deck built . It is beautiful , well built with quality products and workmanship . Everyone involved was polite , hard working and efficient  and neat . Mike was fabulous in helping us figure out what we wanted and was  always responsive to the multiple questions I had .   He made multiple visits to check progress as the project was several weeks long , but it  was amazing that this 16x16 screened area with gabled roof  and the 14 x 12 open area was completed so fast . I love everything about my new screened porch and deck build . I would highly recommend HRS .

He is extremely personable, patient, & attentive throughout every step of the process. I highly recommend HRS. My old deck was in bad shape. I contacted HRS and received a phone call and consultation immediately. They were very knowledgeable, answered all questions, and explained everything in detail. The team that came out did an outstanding job on my new deck. The deck looks amazing! HRS did everything it was supposed to do, and a little more. From my initial contact through the work they did, HRS was open, professional, and easy to get along with.  The crew did window replacements quickly, efficiently, and took care to tidy up afterwards.  I especially appreciated their taking particular care not to damage ornamental plants in the course of their work.  Fair price, responsive organization, good work:  I can recommend them without any reservation, and, in fact, have listed them as a recommended contact on my HOA site.

I had a bunch of carpentry work done at my house. They removed an old deck, replaced a bunch of old siding and wood pieces on the house, and then installed beautiful new stairs. The quality of the work from all of the guys was truly top notch. I was so impressed with how quickly and how well they were able to do everything. I also had Art as the project manager, and he was very responsive and communicated great. Overall, I am extremely pleased. I would highly recommend using them for any house repairs!

Bryon at HRS has been a dream to work with during my recent exterior home improvements. He made the process so easy and I never had to worry if someone was going to show up and do the work. Bryon kept me informed every step of the way through the process and went above and beyond to ease my fears of being burned by another home remodel company. The quality of the work is outstanding and if not to the standards of HRS, the owner will make sure it is completed to his high standards.  There was absolutely no pressure to go high end but don't be fooled by how high end the results look! I may have been able to get the job done a bit cheaper (not by much) but the professionalism and quality of the work was absolutely worth any difference in price.  Bryon is great at keeping you informed and very knowledgeable about about home repairs and construction.

HRS did an amazing job on our complete bathroom remodel. Their team of workers did amazing work. Art was very helpful with any issues that came up & they were resolved right away. They were so easy to work with & we could not be happier with the results. My project was not particularly big but contained numerous small messy pieces; rotten windowsill, rotten fascia and soffit, failing gutters, rusted chimney cap, rotten stairs … a real mess.  I was afraid nobody would touch it.  HRS leadership and work crews did an excellent job both communicating and performing the work.  Paint matched perfectly, stairs are a work of art, and it all looks shiny and new. The finished product exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them to anyone needing home repairs of any kind.

Home repair service has been amazing. I had them installing new shutters for me. The entire process was seamless. The price was fair and the work is second to none. I would recommend them for Any project. You need completed on your house. I tried quite a few contractors and can promise you will not find a better deal nor higher quality work.

Called HRS this morning about a rotten board on my back deck. Three men arrived 3 hours later and it was replaced in 15 minutes and cleaned up. I have used HRS before and they do professional repairs and clean up and are on time. Licensed and insured, I would not use anyone else.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. I called Home Repair Service to give an estimate on a deck repair. Kevin Cato contacted me to set up an appointment and I was impressed with his knowledge and what needed to be done. He has had many decades in construction work. He sent me a quote which was very reasonable and set up a date for the repair. The crew arrived on schedule and completed the work in about 4 hours. The workmanship was great and you would never have known anyone was there because there was no trash left behind. Kevin Cato was great and great to work with. I will contact him (Home Repair Service) with any future needs (which I'm sure there will be.) We discovered the cedar posts that supports the patio roof had rot. I searched Google for companies in my area that worked on that, and contacted HRS (Home Repair Services) and read their excellent reviews  about good communication,  great customer service and knowledgeable people. And that was the same experience for me! From the first phone call to the company with Aria, who was  professional, kind and understanding of my concern and  then immediate communication with Kevin, who called me back within the hour, to ask me questions about our problem and for pictures to look at, and gave me a time within 3 days he could come out to home and give an estimate. Even after I was anxious about support and roof collapse possibility, I spoke with Kevin again, and he came out the next day, and because we had other projects and contractors to work around, he was able to get us on a schedule and within a week we had new posts installed and stained. The team that installed were on time, professional, hard working and cleaned up after themselves. I have already recommended Kevin and HRS to a friend needed some repairs around her 35 year old home, and will continue to recommend to others. Thank you HRS for being reliable, and Kevin for having good open communication with me  during my home project!

I first wanted renovations done to the inside of my house back in April 2022. My senior project manager was Rich Dajani. I explained to Mr. Rich what I wanted and he designed my project which included the entire kitchen from the floor to ceiling, appliances, windows, plumbing and all interior doors all within my budget.  Mr. Rich was extremely knowledgeable, immediate response to any changes I wanted and he made sure all the work was done to my satisfaction. I was so impressed with his professionalism that I contacted Mr. Rich again in August 2025 to do a total outside remodel.  I had foundation repair, siding, roof, outside wood deck, screened-in patio deck with tiled floor, all outside doors, landscaping, light fixtures, painting and driveway all at a very reasonable cost.  The remodel was perfect and clean-up was immaculate.  Mr. Rich was there for me  anytime I called.  I personally will always use Mr. Rich Dajani as my project manager for any and all future renovations big or small and I highly recommend him. We had a wonderful experience with HRS, Butch Wade in particular.  We had some rotten siding replaced, painted the house and had the open part of our deck enclosed.   Not only did he address every question or concern, he did so quickly.   Everytime we spoke, I felt like I was speaking to a friend.  I fully recommend HRS and Butch Wade.

HRS did an amazing job on our complete deck rebuild. They took the time to understand our vision and made it come to life. HRS is incredible, and built my family a new covered deck we love! I had spent time researching contractors and I cannot tell you how happy I am I found these guys, especially Rich Dajani. He managed the building of our deck and did a fantastic job. He made sure things were done right, was always available if I had a question (and I had many as this was the first major house project I've pursued.) Rich never acted bothered or rude. He was timely. He did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. He didn't cut corners. If there was an issue, Rich fixed it to the best of his ability. He is the "go the extra mile" type of man and HRS is that type of company. It's a local, Birmingham company, not a big national one. From my first call with them, I could tell they were on top of it. They have the personal touch of a "mom and pop" shop with the professionalism and quality of a bigger company. They answer your questions quickly and follow up thoroughly. Put simply, whenever I have a house project, HRS and particularly Rich will be my first call. If you're waffling or not sure who you should go with for your next house project, I cannot recommend these guys enough. If you're looking for a solid, trust-worthy, and timely general contractors, you can stop. You've found them here. My great thanks to Rich and to the HRS team!

I had an amazing experience with HRS and cannot recommend them enough. I had to get the siding replaced on half of my house and the chimney due to woodpecker damage, water damage, and the general nightmare that having Masonite siding has proven to be. The HRS team went above and beyond before, during, and after the process. I worked with Kevin, who was fantastic and answered all of my questions and explained everything in detail. When an issue with extensive water damaged popped up, he explained all of my options and handled it very well. The team was very professional and their work is flawless. I’m recommending HRS and Kevin to everyone who asks, and I will be using them for repairs in the future.

All the way from the quoting to the final installation,  this company is stellar. Kevin came promptly and inspected not only for the job, but also the surrounding area as well  to make sure that it was solid to handle the new addition . He understood what I wanted, followed up with me on the appointment setting as agreed. They actually came a little earlier which was great! Mario and Luis were very polite and respectful of my property and did an amazing job. They checked with me afterwards to make sure the job was completed as expected. HRS is truly a great company and they have amazing customer service.

I searched for a year for a company that I could trust to do my new floors, subfloor and joist throughout my house and a complete bathroom renovation. I finally stumbled upon home repair services and I am so glad that I chose this company to trust to do the work.  They did an outstanding job. I give them a 100. I don’t find any flaws in their work. They have done a fabulous job in giving my home the facelift that it needed. I had a storm door installed, gutter and down spout added, and some corners on my roof caulked where bees over the past summer where getting into. Kevin was the assigned project manager and was so informative and helpful. I'm not from the south so he explained a lot of differences and why things were done a certain way down here with homes. I also had him look at some things with my windows but he let me know it wasn't anything major as I was anticipating. I can do quite a bit of things on my own so he gave me some suggestions on things to try, which I really appreciated and he didn't just say they would do something for the additional money on the project. I was extremely pleased with the quote and the work his team did. You would have never known they were there when they were done for the day. There was one small hiccup where they missed a couple spots with caulking and Kevin immediately came right out himself to finish it up. They have a lifelong customer here with me. Our entire chimney needed new siding thanks to woodpecker damage allowing water in. We went from masonite siding to cement board and minor repair to the base wood. The Team at HRS maintained communication from before the project began until even beyond when the job was done. While we waited repair they even wrapped our chimney until the project could begin to mitigate the water issue we had been experiencing. Their team was on time, professional and answered every question I had, no matter the question. They explained all aspects of the project and made sure to address issues important to me in the repair.

I would like to thank this company for responding quickly to my request.  I had a security storm door that I purchased some years back that had been in storage and needed it put up.  I was sent a text that Mr. Rich would reach out to me and he did respond in a timely manner.  A prayer of mine was answered through Mr. Rich.  I needed someone to do the job for me and Mr. Rich with H & R did it.  It is also important how a person presents himself and Mr. Rich was very nice and would text me to let me know when he was on his way to my residence, etc. He put the door up and now I am a happy camper.   I had a great experience with this company.

Had a little bump in the road to start on some vinyl siding .With one a sub contractor that HRS has not used before because their regular contractor was not available. The new contractor did not meet my expectations and HRS made everything wright and went far beyond to please me and which they did. We had a tree fall on our roof after some rain and wind. It damaged a gutter and part of our roof. HRS can’t repair roofs but put me in touch with a great company that took care of that for us. They did repair the gutter within the time frame they said (sooner actually) and for what they quoted. They were super responsive and so so nice. They will be first on our list for any future repairs!

Excellent job HRS! We just finished our bathroom remodel with Home Repair Service (HRS). 10 OUT OF 10 positive experience! We had 1 bathroom....they removed an unused closet and rebuilt our bathroom to create 1 and 1/2 bathrooms for our home. Mike Whaley was our project manager and he was very patient with us, making suggestions, and very helpful with planning everything (10 out of 10 for him also). I first learned of Home Repair Service on Facebook. I read their ads, and for some reason, they stood out, to me. Now i know why. I needed some major repairs on my chimney and siding. I called, they showed up, gave me an estimate, scheduled the work, and did an excellent job. They are prompt, and professional. I enjoyed doing business with them.

Great work by Mario. I didn’t think the job could be done without cutting into a bunch of drywall,  but they managed to minimize damage to existing drywall and get the job done quickly. Rich was helpful in coordinating and having his team out to my home very quickly. I would work with this company again. 10/10

I had an odd job that I  needed a professional opinion on. I really didn’t know what the solution was to correctly remedy the situation, but Kevin Cato came out and was able to put together a plan. After taking a few measurements and pictures he came back with a proposal breaking down what materials and labor would be needed to fix the problem. The crew at HRS came out yesterday and did a great job. The job site was left spotless and the installer, Todd, was professional and efficient. Overall, the experience was rather painless, from start to finish. Pricing and communication are a big part of any hire, as is the quality of work performed. HRS met all of my expectations.

I hardly know where to begin. This company is far and away the best company I have ever hired or heard about. My project was a bathroom remodel, ie, removing a jetted tub and existing shower, installing a handicapped shower and installing a linen closet where the old shower had been. My first meeting was with Rich Dejani, project manager, and Miranda the interior designer. Mr Dejani was impressive as was Miranda. I am an older single woman and I have been taken to the cleaners more times than I can count by dishonest contractors. I asked a friend with 30+ years as an executive home builder to sit in on the negotiations. In private, my friend said Mr. Dejani was knowledgeable, answered all questions honestly and the estimate was fair. Mr Dejani when given the go ahead gave me a start date and work began as scheduled. Miranda helped with selection of materials and planning. Every day the work began  promptly at 8 am and finished at 6 pm. The crew was beyond amazing, from tile setters to carpenters to painters. Even the clean up crew was the best, cleaning up after each days' work. The end result was not only a gorgeous shower but a safe one. Mr Dejani was involved every step of the way, making an on site visit half way through the build. He responded to my calls within minutes and answered my questions. I have owned 4 houses and I have never seen the quality of work this company provided. Finally a company with a work ethic, honest, and with employees that took pride in the work that they did. I have the utmost confidence in recommending this stellar company to anyone thinking of a remodeling project. I don't think you could go wrong in choosing Home Repair Service!

It has been a pleasure working with Mike and the Home Repair Services Company!  For example, I emailed the company late May and Mike and I met at my condo on Friday, May 31st.  He listened to the changes and improvements I wanted to make.  Within 2 business days, he provided me with a quote for the work.  Next, I immediately went shopping to pick out the materials and products I wanted.  Once I paid 50% of the quote during the first week of June, Mike had me scheduled for starting on Wednesday, June 19.  The tile work on my half bathroom floor and the tile added to the fireplace look amazing!  His staff told me on day 1, Thursday and Friday you will never know we were here.  They were correct!  I was extremely impressed by the clean up efforts each day.  Based on the positive results from this project, I am confident that I will be working with Mike and his staff later this year to work on the master bathroom.  I will be requesting the same two employees in September that were in my house in June.

I had HRS come out to look at installing new siding (old siding isn’t vinyl and paint was peeling bad) and build a new deck. Art came out and looked at my siding and said it didn’t need replacing. He told me they could scrape the paint that was peeling and replace 2 pieces of siding that did need replacing. This would be less expensive than installing new siding. I was thrilled. As to my new deck, I wanted a deck about 3ft wider than what I had. Since the frame of the old deck was still good, HRS added 3ft to old deck and installed all new deck boards, railing and stairs. This was less expensive than building a whole new deck. I was thrilled and love my new deck. Art could have came out and gave me an estimate for new siding and a new deck which would have been about $10k more than the work that Art recommended. I was totally happy with Art’s recommendations. It was nice to see that HRS wasn’t about getting as much of my money as they could. After the work was done, Art came and we walked all round the house and deck to see that everything was good and I was happy with the work that was done. There were a couple of boards on deck that weren’t as good as I would have liked so Art had someone out within 2 days to replace those boards. Love how my house and deck look now. I would use HRS again and will be recommending them to friends and family that may need work done around their home.

I really liked working with HRS. Art Ralston was very responsive to my questions and made my project happen much sooner than I anticipated. The work site was left perfectly neat and tidy, and I really love the deck. Would absolutely use them again.

We had an excellent experience with Home Repair Service after being referred there by a coworker. They replaced our deck. Truly the best communication I've ever had with a contractor or any other service professional. Kevin was our fantastic project manager but everyone we spoke with, even if briefly, was professional and personable. They answered all messages promptly and emailed their insurance and license information without us even asking. We're looking forward to using them again in the future!

Home Repair Service (HRS) proved to be an extremely professional company with which to do business. David Beckham and his team installed new supports and replaced boards on an aging deck for me. This work buys me a few years before total deck replacement, which I plan to have completed by HRS. Five stars!

You guys did an amazing job with the items that I needed fixed around my home. The crew was awesome and super friendly. They did not leave until I was satisfied With their work, and they even asked if there was anything else they could do while they were there.  You can’t get any better than these guys. If you find yourself asking that their quote maybe a bit high, it’s because their quality is amazing. I’d rather pay a bit more to get the quality of work I want, than pay less and hope for the best.  I will definitely use you guys again when I need repairs made around my home.

Posting this for the initial. Five stars thus far. Just talking to Kim at the front office was great! She was attentive, listened to my needs, did her best in finding someone who will accommodate what we're looking for, and was overall very pleasant to talk to. I feel very comfortable meeting with the contractor she picked and I hope we can move forward just from that interaction on the phone.

We have worked with them for over 15 years on 3 different properties. We recommend them to all our friends and family. Always excellent work and honest prices. HRS did an amazing job creating a salon space for me from a retail suite. David handled all aspects of construction, permitting, hiring the right people for engineering, initial plans, plumbing, electrical, A/C, drywalling, etc. He is patient and kind and cares about my satisfaction in his work.  I am in love with my salon, and I will always call on HRS and David Beckham for any and all of my business building and home improvement needs in the future. I would highly recommend them.

We contacted Home Repair Service to correct a small rotten area around a window on my son’s house. They submitted a bid and after comparing to other companies, we decided to use them. Unfortunately, the small area turned into a complete rebuild of the front of the house. Over all, Home Repair Service did a good job with the repair. Craftsmanship was good and neat. The only negative issue we had was with the different change orders. I think a little more attention to detail when communicating changes would have made the project run smoother and with no surprises. We would use them again for other projects.

Great job completely rebuilding our bed room bay window. Job was  on time and actually did some small items that were related to the job but not on the contract. Very happy with the price. Rich Dajani  a very confident. I'm also contracting him to paint the interior of our house.

I will adamantly recommend Home Repair Service to anyone looking for exceptionally quality work with super helpful and friendly contractors and workers. The whole experience with them from the start of the quote to the final product was marked with clear and consistent communication and they were always willing to address anything I saw that needed tending to. Great Company to do business with. I had a complicated kitchen sink replacement  dilema and Rich came out and walked me through a way to replace my sink and faucet. So I ordered the replacement parts and Rich came out and personally replaced and installed. Great service and very reasonably priced. I would definitely use again and will highly recommend.

We did an exterior and interior renovation with HRS and could not be more pleased with the results.  Kevin Cato handled this project from start to finish with minor delays and only minor errors that were easily fixed at no cost to us.  All work not in the original contract was handled as a contract revision payable at the time of the revision so we were not stuck at the end of the contract with a balance larger than expected.  Kevin made excellent suggestions when they were warranted and provided assistance with plans and fixture choices.  The crews that he used were also very professional and very trustworthy.  At no time did we feel uncomfortable with the people working in our house.  For the subcontrators we used for items outside of the HRS contract, Kevin worked with them to insure everything flowed smoothly.  We have already initiated another small contract with Kevin and HRS and will likely use them in the future on other projects.  I  will gladly recommend this company to anyone looking to have work done on their home or office.

We had several areas of rotted window sills, soffit, and trim around our house after 30 years of weather exposure. I researched local contractors and decided on HRS due to their good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Kevin Cato was our assigned project manager and he was very professional as well as courteous during the entire project. Communication was excellent and any issues/changes/additions we had were immediately addressed by Kevin and the work crews. The quality of the repair/replacement work was fantastic and the painters did a great job of pressure washing the entire house and matching our paint scheme. They removed all scraps/debris and left the area clean. They were respectful and weren't disruptive to our schedules throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend them for any repairs you may have...we plan to get them to do some interior upgrading for us soon.

After contacting one other contractor and one independent handyman, neither of whom returned my calls, I contacted Home Repair Service. They answered my call, answered my questions, and within an hour their project manager called me and got the details of my repair project. The work was completed within a few days. Everyone was professional and the work was completed in a timely manner.

When I finally decided to add a room to my house, one contractor came out to look, and suggested we just move. When I called HRS, a secretary answered the phone in a central office location, assigned me to a “project manager” and from then on, that person (Art) called when he said he would and followed through on everything he said he would do. Of course there were unexpected expenses and problems along the way. That’s going to happen. But they were all made right, and in a timely manner. I made some unexpected requests, myself, and he adjusted to them without missing a beat. I’m thrilled with my new space-a dream come true. Highly recommend HRS

From painting, screen porch tear down and replacement, fascia repair and gutter replacement, the jobs couldn't have been done more professionally than what I experienced with HRS. Billy Sherrill was the project manager and provided my wife & me with a sense of comfort in knowing that quality and integrity of worked performed would be done without compromise. Incredible!  I called Rich.  Quick reply and estimate.  The work started 2 days later.   Let me say they were called to correct horrible drywall and painting by another contractor!  They corrected the poor work and left me with fresh new painted drywall!  Beyond my expectations.  Thank you!!

I had a great experience with Home Repair Service. They were honest, reliable and the price for their work was very fair. Completion of the job was when they projected that it would be, and the work they did was exactly what we had hoped. They arrived at the scheduled time and cleaned everything up after the job was done.  Art Ralston was easy to work with. He answered my calls and text promptly. Art answered all my questions and let me know exactly what to expect during the process.  I would highly recommend Home Repair Services!

Home Repair Service did a great job!   I had my deck removed and they repaired all the rotten wood and put up new siding.    Great job!   Timely, reasonable and just great to work with.   Highly recommend!   Will be having more projects for them soon!  Rich is great to work with!

Kevin and the HRS crew did a great job on my chimney re-do. All questions answered, arrived  on time and finished on time. Built back better than the original. The crew was friendly and courteous and cleaned up when finished.

From the first contact with HRS they were professional and very responsive. Two things that are hard to find now days. We ran into unexpected damage and they walked us through our options on how to proceed. I am very pleased with our final outcome.

Research several kitchen remodelers. Settled on HRS and July 10, 2023 the remodel started and ended Aug. 21, 2023 with final walk through.  Now understand that if you do a kitchen remodel, your kitchen access has been interferred with. But again in the end, it was well worth it. Dennis and his crew arrived and started taking out and prepping for new cabinets. In the meantime dealing with Stephanie with Alabama Cabinets. Picking out you cabinets, colors, countertops, pulls and lights.  Was awesome.  Jimmy and his side kick came in and hung cabinets. These two men were so intent on everything being done right. Dedicated to the profession. I could keep going, but you will run into bumps along the way. A major remodeling will take time, interrupt your everyday life at home. But, HRS made sure that the bumps were not major.  The entire process and team worked with me and made sure I was happy. I would recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Art.
